Sunnyvale, CA - January 5, 2004 - At
this year’s CES in Las Vegas, Samsung is demonstrating the
Newnex FireNEX800™ IEEE 1394 Optical Repeater alongside
their newest offerings for digital TV. It is a private,
initiation only, screening in the Las Vegas Country Club
across from the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Samsung will be giving a live demonstration of their XHT
technology. XHT brings a Web interface and a better measure
of control to disparate home electronics, allowing easier
connectivity than is currently possible using lesser standards.
The FireNEX800™ Optical Repeater allows IEEE1394 signals
to be sent across an optical fiber cable up to 1000 meters
in length and up to 800 Mbps. This makes it a perfect solution
for extending digital video between remote locations.
Newnex brings to the market the latest interconnect products
in IEEE 1394 technology, including 1394 cables and connectors.
Over the past ten years, Newnex has developed a reputation
for reliability and innovation that has made it possible
to ensure quality performance in all its products. Visit

the latest consumer electronics and computer products.
