The new S400 FireNEX-CAT5™ to be Demonstrated at the 1394 Trade Association 3rd Quarterly Meeting

CA - July 24, 2006 - Newnex will demo its' new S400 FireNEX-CAT5™ at the 1394 Trade Association 3rd Quarterly Meeting in San Diego, California, July 31st to August 3rd.
The S400 FireNEX-CAT5™ is the first in the world of its' kind!
Special features:
Compact size. (80x68x27 mm)
Up to 100m.
Low power consumption, only 3W.
Full S400 speed. The maximum speed of 1394a.
Bus powered or self powered. An example of bus power: you may drive a bus powered 1394 camera at one end with no need for external power. In a hazardous or remote environment the convenience of not having to add external power to the device end is an important feature.
Uses flexible UTP cabling CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, etc. The advantages of using standard UTP copper cables enable low cost connections, terminations by the end user, and the possibility of using existing cabling infrastructure.
