Remarks from attendees:

Mr. Chen Chong, Deputy General Director, Department of Electronics and I.T. Products, MII:
We heard about 1394 before but do not know too much about it. Now we understand what 1394 is and we think it is an exciting technology for us too. We will coordinate the possible adoption of 1394 for electronics and I.T. industries in China.

Mr. Wang Lijian, Director of Chinese Electronics Standardization Technical Institute:
We have studied 1394 for a while and we also has a small group of people working on the adoption of 1394 standard. The progress so far is unsatisfactory due to lack of access to the needed information. Thanks for today's seminar, we obtained a lot of valuable information. We will continue to work on the adoption of 1394 standard in China with the help of MII.

Mr. Sun Yunning, Deputy Director of Corporate Research and Development, Legend Computer Systems Limited:
Legend has noticed the development of 1394 for several years now. Today's seminar made us be more serious to think about 1394. As the number one computer supplier in China, we are interested in incorporating 1394 in our products and coordinating with other companies to promote 1394 in China.

Mr. Sun Yong Fu, Director General of The China International Center for Economic Technical Exchanges, Ministry of Foreign Trade Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC):
Nice talks, even a non technical guy like me know 1394 is important.

Future actions:

Sam Liu will keep in contact with officials in MII and Chinese Electronics Standardization Technical Institute for the adoption of 1394 in China. The short term goal is to establish an awareness program of 1394 in China. The long term goal is to form 1394 alliance type of organization in China as did in Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
